LLQ Regional at the Ranch

INSULT TO INJURIES, Home from the Ranch and looking for answers! When is a RED FLAG appropriate? Race 3 moto 2 on the first lap our son came together with another rider in a downhill rhythm section. Both riders where down hard on lap one. When I got to my son the leaders where coming around on lap 2, the yellow flags where out and the riders where almost landing on our son. An AMA official was on scene and I begged him to stop the race so we could get our son some help. He told me to get out of his face and he gave me a shove. Lap after lap we had to shield our son from all riders. No red flag came out and the race finally came to a finish. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears, They started race 4 with our son still lying in the track,( what the hell!)! Forcing us to move our son off the track knowing his injuries. EMT's arrive, my son is complaining of shoulder and upper back pain he is pale with blue lips!!!! EMT"s asked if he could walk to the car and he will transport him back to our camp. ( ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!) The so called EMT's radio to the ambulance he needed help, this situation is out of his comfort zone. After race 4 comes to a finish the ambulance arrives, The inexperienced EMT's have to be shown how to remove a helmet from the injured rider. The ambulance doors open and it was an empty box, no gurney, no oxygen, no monitors not even a box of band-aids. They slide him in on the floor board of the ambulance, makeshift ambulance and 4 X him through the track. (UNBELIEVABLE),  So then he was  transported to a real ambulance. INJURY UPDATE: Broken Collar bone, Broken Rib, 5 broken vertebrae in neck!! C1 thru 4 and C7. Saddened for our sport.
