Got a shock for my 83 Kx125 from him. I feel it's good as any modern bike suspension

Started new thread Honda hand guards 10/6/2017 1:55 AM

I know more of what I don't want then what I do want. I'm looking for age appropriate handguards for an 86 CR250. I'd like to avoid the modern style Roost guards. Maybe wood came on the xrs of that era. I don't know who else made anything back then. ... more »

Nice work. Great looking bike. I like it as it's still aircooled. Not too many still around

I saw that instance a little different through my eyes. But MXM sure used to find killer vintage bike deals and had some fresh rides

You may have to swap and mess with shock collars to fit the KX shock I remember the YZ TI shock being a larger ID And clearance against the air boot may be close

Did you go with a 428 chain Sandman? For a few thousand dollars you get to have a total blast racing a perfect 78 RM125 and the personal satisfaction of doing killer restoration . Even if its 3500 with a trick motor and a new set of shocks It's my opinion ... more »

Nice work. Was the cylinder already ported by TUF? How does it run? Are you sure the forks are from an 87? I was thinking they didn't get a dual piston caliper until 89

Im sorry if this was answered, I somehow missed it Remember a few years ago Dave Milsaps was let go for something in his gear bag? Did it ever come to light what it was? He has moved passed that time in his life and glad he did. He is a good racer that ... more »

Added a comment about press release Justin Barcia to Compete at 2017 Monster Energy Cup aboard Privateer Honda 9/17/2017 1:44 PM

I know it was a long long long time ago but ever since he went over and spun a roost on some downed lapper that got in his way and roosted the Astertrik Medical team Ive liked other riders more than him. Although a great rider and always fun to watch Glad he is still out there trying unlike Dungey and Carmichael .

How is your wrist Lucky Nino? It's crazy the hardware Dr's can use to fix our bones

Added reply in a thread WTB 78 RM125C Rear Wheel Hub 9/14/2017 6:53 PM

I only ask that Sandman as I've seen a 81 RM wheels mounted on a 78. Not i sure what it takes to make it work ,but the wheels are much better on the newer RM. The 81 came with straight pull spokes. I imagine the wheels are lighter to some degree

Are you building this bike to race or a dust collector there Sandman?

I could be wrong, I was thinking it was a 406 by the size of the head. I had a 250. Another pic will clear it up. AHRMA361 sounds like he may be right too.
