2007 Amp'd Mobile Supercross: Anaheim 1 Friday Pit Bits

With no Friday practice, today was reserved for semi parking, pit setup, and sound testing. Of course, with lots of new teams, and breezy conditions, setup was more challenging for some teams than others. For example, the new Hog Haven canopy for the Wonder Warthog privateers takes practically a whole team to piece together.

Otherwise, it was a pretty quiet day. Some riders were breaking in race bikes today away from the track, so they'd been out early, and their bikes didn't show up until late. Other teams, like Makita Suzuki and Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki, set up early, and headed back to their respective shops.

A little of the pit chatter revolved around the fact that Tommy Hahn crashed earlier this week, leaving him with a cracked rib, a lung injury, and…maybe most painful of all, no one healthy under the Team Honda tent at the start of the season. The Honda guys are definitely a bit gloomy at the moment.

Don't forget to check back on Vital MX for more pit bits from Anaheim as the day works through timed practice.
