Bring On The Outdoors 5

Since there's a break in the Supercross schedule, you'd expect riders to take some time off, right? Nope. For many (especially the 250 East guys who are a longer break), it means that it's time to get started on outdoor testing. We checked in at Pala Raceway today, and there were quite a few riders on hand. Some were coming back from injuries or illnesses, some were getting serious, while others were out for fun. Check out the action below.

Part of Ryan Morais' duties at KTM are to help with setup for their various riders. He did a lot of the setup on Ryan Dungey's bike, toiling away last summer when no one would think to go out and check the KTM Supercross track. Today he was working on a setup for Andrew Short's Team BTO Sports/WPS KTM 450 Factory Edition. Ryan rode both the standard and WP air shock setups.

With the 250 East on hold for a few weeks, Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha's Anthony Rodriguez and Jeremy Martin are spending time out here getting their feet wet on the outdoor bikes.

It was good to see Ken Roczen getting in some outdoor time ahead of his return to action after time off to let his ankle mend.

Who's looking forward to seeing the number one plates on his RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing 450? The countdown's on to his title defense.

Ivan Tedesco was styling, as usual, in his testing role for RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy Johns/Suzuki Factory Racing. Well, at least when he wasn't throwing in the occasional boner air.

Nate Adams came out to do some motos for the first time in a while. Nope, he doesn't have any racing plans, but it's always cool to see him having fun on his dirt bike.

Anthony Rodriguez working on his motos.

Brett Metcalfe is getting ready for the nationals...up north again.

Metty's getting reacquainted with his KX after doing the early portion of the Supercross series on a Suzuki.

It was particularly good to see Arnaud Tonus back on a bike. It sounds like he's responded well to the treatment for the blood issue that he had, and hopefully it won't be long before we see him back in action.

Arnaud had a decent first season in Supercross (minus the illness), but we can't wait to see him at full potential during the outdoors.

Sean Cantrell was looking good on his Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Red Bull / KTM.

Jeremy Martin's not rocking the number one plates (yet), but apparently he has noticed an uptick in riders who want to get racy with him on the track. He was riding under the watchful eyes of Johnny O.

Joey Savatgy is another 250 East guy who's turning his attention to outdoor testing. He'll likely have a full week of action with Bones and the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki crew.
