Moto stuff with the original blade 280 kit will give it The factory brake look .along with the vented wheel spacers
Also got my woody graphics on some new plastics
Baggy of Ti hardware
Scored some newer crf 450 forks that I will have coated in clear anodized for the uppers , I'll keep the stock shock and kashima coat the body along with some TiN on the lowers and shaft .
I'm in search of a holeshot device like the Honda push button holeshot if anyone has any insight ?
The Shop
FYI - The 02-04 models have an exhaust flange & the 05-07 models do not.
Deciding on where I wanna send my head and cylinder off too .
Most likely PC as its only a retail of 350 For that .
Pretty tough to beat that !
Currently own an 03 with PC cyl / head mods with the head cut to run VP C12. I had the work done in 2005 for $300 & it has been the best bang for the buck in all my yrs. of riding mx. You won't be disappointed if you go that route.
Also I have a short PC silencer I just missed taking photos of the rest of my build.
Yes sir , it's an 02 in just making it into the 06 MC replica . Since there wasn't any major look changes .
Yeah I think PC would be my best bet .. I have a yz250 that the motor was done with them and it was intense .
v force should be here soon also .
If any of y'all know where I can find that push style HRC holeshot button Lmk.
Also shipped off my new crf 450 forks and stock rear shock to be coated.
For the most part the motor and almost all the bolts still look pretty good . But almost all the visual bolts will be replaced with titanium .
everything cleaned up pretty nice , the motor cases will for sure need more loving . This was just my preliminary .
And of course the graphics and plastics . Woohoo! Defy graphics got me set up on my trim kit, which is on point , and I got the shrouds and seat cover from TJ.
I was pleasantly surprised that when I was taking everything apart , the bolts were darn near perfect on the interior side of the bolt which should make it a easy assembly process .
Although most bolts will be replaced with Ti.
And of course the cylinder transfer port was cracked . Honda is bsck ordered and dis continuing the cylinder making .
IN SEARCH OF A CR250 cylinder if Anyone has anything or know of anyone with one .
Pit Row
Wheels are here , woohoo
Suspension is done and coated up . Enzo found some old factory internal pieces so it should be an awesome set up .
Will get some more photos tommorow
The fork color should look pretty close to what they ran back in 06. Cr forks on the left and kashima coloring on the right .
Shock is the bottom shock with kashima coating . I should’ve sanded it smooth but it just slipped my mind .
The fork color looks almost identical to what they ran back in 06. Hard to see it in this photo but hoping once on the bike you’ll see the difference .
Super happy with it now that I’ve seen it in my own hands
some new ride engineering clamps with Ti hardware of course .
I just mocked it up just to get a visual .
The garage is a mess, so don’t mind the back ground .
