Shane Watts single track ride. Having ridden lots of newer bikes I just haven't found a better fit than my 2003 KTM 125 SX.

V Force, major suspension mods by Protune, Ride 19mm offset triple clamps, powder coater RAL 2009 frame, and lots of personal touches. Nothing can stay with this bike in tight technical rides.

I feel like the 200 would have been the better choice. But I'm willing to bet my crf250r could keep up just fine, and better in the tight stuff due to having the power all the time. Sweet bike.

Had a 200 KTM EXC for several years. Loved it. However, the hard hit of the 200 power band would really work my forearms to death. The CRF250 is an awesome ride. No doubt it would do better than keep pace with my little 2 smoker. I'm running a 13/52 sprocket set up making this little 125 bike a controlled trials bike with a 40 HP hit at the top end. Fun stuff. Heaven help me when I have to climb long loose gravel hills.

The main thing I really like about my crf250r over the 125 smoke I had, is how much longer and further I could go from the truck without having to come back and fill up. My cr125 that I had could only go about 30 mi. on a tank. My crf250r has an ims tank and I can go way further than my ass can handle. My butt starts chaffing right around 80 miles lol.

I'm with you Dave, only regret I have with the 125's is I didn't buy one sooner! Bought my first 125 at nearly 40 years old and never turned back. IMO, it's the ultimate bike for fast woods riding. Had a 05 KX125 now I'm on a 97 RM125 and could not be happier.
