Is it just me, or is there something that the new bikes lack in "cool" factor? Bikes like these sure used to get me excited......and they still do today 10yrs later.Cool

I find the graphics on today's bikes too busy and too much black. The photo from the op is just nice clean lines

This was probably my favorite looking factory 2-stroke ever.

Photo by me in Las Vegas 2003.

I love how the pipe is a bit discolored from the heat. Someone was running the nuts off that thing!

Nice pic! Is it just me, or is that thing super squated down in the back? looks like an extra long linkage lever. I'm about James size and would've given anything to take that bike for a couple laps.

All those bikes (except KTM) are antiques. Bikes like this Beta, with electric start integrated into the bottom of the motor, are the latest two stroke motorcycles. Can't wait for the new Husqvarna's.

I agree with the OP. I'm just not that excited about factory 4-strokes compared to the excitement from factory 2-strokes back in the day. I figured that was just because I'm older now, and back then I lived for moto.

The one exception is Reed's 09 factory Suzuki. That was a good looking bike.

That is my favorite one so far. I was obsessed with these bikes back in the day. Awesome.
