and these...
Whose are those? When was this taken?
the pic was taken in early September 2012.
the bikes were built for Ryan Hughes,Jeff Ward and Ron Lechein to race at the vets MXDN at Farleigh castle in the uk.
They were featured in Racerx,Moto in the uk and MOTOX in Germany.
still sends a shiver down my spine thinking of the man hours it took to get these 5 bikes all restored and ready to race by some guys who can actually ride a 500 properly

My 2004 RM250. I think was either Justin Brayton's or Tommy Hoffmasters Motoworld PPG team bike. It still had the suspension on it & 10 way programmable ignition & ti bolts & lots of other good stuff. It was a great bike & handled tremendous.
Awesome! I would never be able to sell something like that!
The guy who bought this bike from me lives locally & he still has it & races it on a occasion at a local SX track & the bike looks just like this still. He's taken great care of it & he says it the best bike he's ever owned & that he will never sell it. I was so burnt out from racing for 25yrs that I barely rode this bike. I got in March of 04 & sold it in June of 04. I rode it maybe 3-4 times. I let my cousin race it once & he still talks about it being so fast yet electric & the suspension being so plush & forgiving when he made mistakes on it. It was a great bike that I didn't take advantage of :-(

That top 93 or 94' cr250 gives me wood. I had one that looked just like it then and is still one of my favorite bikes I ever had. Smile

94. Probably my favorite of all time as well, and I was never a Honda fan. The simplistic and clean graphics looked great on those bikes.

Is there video of the full race? I would love to see my teenage idols riding those old bikes again.

Pretty sure Matthes did a podcast with Chad Watts and he said that that KW was prolly the trickets bike he worked on, even more so than the RC's honda...
That's cool, I don't doubt it. I remember watching a documentary from the 2000 season, and RC's SR sounded like no other 2-stroke I've ever heard. He was blipping the throttle off idle, getting her all warm and lubed up behind his gate pick. It sounded like a mix between a top fuel dragster and a lightsaber. Not sure how else to describe it, really.

Pit Beirers 2002

2002 GP factory.

Some of you might have heard of this guy. To bad this project went sour.

Pyronens factory GP-bike.

Angry Dwarf did some serious damage with this one.

Newer made it to Europe 2002, because of that pesky Osama.

2003, not factory, private company that used to build frames when people though KTM needed alu..

Pit's last ride...

Pichons factory Zook.

Clean, check that tank out!

Don't know who this one belonged to, but nice looking one.

This didn't go as planned, but the idea was cool.

And so on...
