I don`t think he`ll go, or to be more accurate, Honda won`t let him. Money talks. They need him in GP`s.

He was born in september 96. He has enough time to do another two MXGP seasons and then go to the US.

Its obvious that Honda wants him in the GPs. They have Roczen in US, Gajser is together with Herlings, Cairoli and Febvre the elite riders there are in the GPs.

The only chance they have to win both series is with Roczen and Gajser, it would be stupid to have both at one place.

A1 2020 he'll be 23. That's not too late. Especially for a guy that can scrub, corner and jump like him. He just has to build a big ass set of whoops in his backyard and he'll be fine.

He should have signed up for the Amateur All Stars race at MEC! The guy looked so uncomfortable. I am sure he would do well in Supercross eventually, but it would take him a few years. His current Supercross skills would put him in 10th place here.

It was also partly due to his bike setup. He basically rode with outdoor suspension
With a few weeks of testing before that race I'm sure he can be at least at the level of Wilson and Tickle (it's not like he was very far off of them, in fact they battled in race one)

Yeah, but he had folks here trying to give them advice on what to run and he didn't listen. He should have had Dan Betley allow the US team to set him up with some proper American SX suspension.

They did. They did a test with him and Brayton's suspension since they run Showa in Europe. He rode 2 laps, said no bueno, which isn't surprising. First time riding proper supercross suspension is sketchy; unforgiving, doesn't turn well, feel every bump and jolt.

Ultimately he needs more than just 2 weeks, but the better question is he and Honda willing to take that risk at his "older" age and hit the reset button.

I thought I read a fairly recent interview with Herlings where he said that he missed his window of opportunity to come. He stated that if he was going to do it, he should have done it when he was younger, and he now feels like it is too late.

He is 23 yrs old. That does seem old to start racing SX when you figure everyone that he would be racing against has done it since they were 16-17 yrs old. I would figure at least 2 full years on the circuit before possibly being a title contender during the 3rd or 4th year. That would put him in his late 20's. He can stay where he is and probably take multiple titles in a row through his prime years instead of crashing his brains out trying to learn SX.

I find it hard to understand why any top MXGP rider would want to move over to states.

SX is more dangerous so riders are at higher risk of injury.

They lose off season time

They will more likely to be burned out & not represent there country at MXON

Outdoor national is not as prestigious as a GP
