This was on display along with a bunch of Ducatti's. Not bad for a Yamaha...

Clearly, they have the motor tilting in the wrong direction.

Is that little red box a boost box?
That is a carb vent filter, I forget who made them but they looked pretty cool even if they did nothing. Came and went with the carb vent T kits.

Looked like a well built bike; would love to take it for a spin...

not to jack the thread, but has anyone ever tried building a RM500AF with one of the old Quadzilla engines? I saw one a while back with a CR500 engine, but suzuki did make a water cooled 500 back in the day. Never made it to the motorcycle line though.

The quadzilla motor would be interesting on a bike frame. It is counterbalanced so it shouldn't have as much vibes as the other motors. However in stock trim it doesn't make the hp that a cr or kx500 made.

I don't think lack of horsepower would be a problem on the 500. Smile

I think that's the question that the whole world has been asking about Yamaha, Honda, Kawi, and Suzuk. The answer - "You will take what we give you, dammit!"

No just joined to see our build and came across some false comments and it needed to stop. Jealousy I assume or want to be bike builders.

for the record, i wouldn't kick that bike outta bed.....

slander, libel, and general assholeness is the MO 'round these parts dog. luckily for your business, most readers understand this. i'm sure at some point you wouldn't cut scooter a 75% off kinda deal even though he was the next big thing in dirtscooterin and jumpin and tailscrubbin at jim bob's local speedway and crashemup derby. hence his afformentioned assholeness.....ya dig?

I was a non-biased guy until about a month ago. Truthfully I don't give a shit what people ride. HOWEVER At Sleepy Hollow, a gentleman walked up to you, admiring your work and said "I converted mine myself", to which your response was

"Did it break yet?"

Upon hearing this, I took a look at your 09-11 chassis. The one with the Home Depot rear cylinder head mount, and radiator hose intake boot that made a whopping 48hp on the dyno a month or so ago. (turns out 500s need a little more air volume than an automotive radiator hose can provide) Then I found him in the pits and looked at his. Let me tell you how much nicer his was. No birdshit welds in sight, and it looked like an OEM bike.

You would have been wise to go look at his and get some fabrication tips.

You belittled that man in front of 10-12 people at the two-stroke shootout, Fanelli, and I f*cking dare you to say this is false, as I was NOT the only person standing there when it happened.

By the way, Service Honda trademarked "AF" in 1997, which I am sure you are well-aware.

Stay classy.

Hi Dance,

Nice, Obviously you are a Service Honda supporter from your last comment so I can understand you making all these false comments. you should have stayed biased because none of your comments are correct including my comment in front of 10 or is it 12 people. i am beginning to think this is another Service Honda Site.. We are too busy building bikes and we have no time to make the 2% of you people happy.. You state keep it classy but bashed our bike that pulled both hole shots and won.. you should have stopped at they were admiring our work since you do not give a shit what people ride.

Thanks, George
