France extended it's win steak to 4; the longest win streak by a non-American team since Great Britain won 5 straight from 1963-1967. It's also the 4th longest win streak ever.

The Netherlands matched their all-time best finish of 2nd. They've finished runner-up 7 times, but have never won the event.

Great Britain finshed 3rd overall, ending a 19-year podiumless streak; the longest in the country's history.

Belgium missed the podium for the 2nd consecutive MXoN with a 4th. This marks Belgium's first back-to-back podium miss since 1988 and 1989.

The United States' 9th place marked the team's worst finish since 1975. They extend their losing streak to 6; the longest in the team's history since their first win in 1981.

Sweden earned their first top 10 since 2002 with a 10th place finish.

Denmark's 11th marked the team's best finish since earning a 9th back in 1997.

Slovenia scored their best finish since 2002 with 12th overall.

Slovakia finished 19th, after having qualified for their first A Main since 2006.

Croatia marked their best finish since 2004 with 27th overall.

Iceland tied it's best finish with 29th overall.

Finland logged it's worst ever finish of 31st.

Hungary missed the B Main for the first time in team history with a 33rd overall.

Lithuania tied it's worst finish of 35th.

Israel extended it's streak of last place finishes to 5 with 38th overall.

Interesting post. 19 years for team GB is almost hard to believe with the quality riders they have.

I also can't believe Israel keeps sending a team. I'm sure it's a cool experience for a rider to do an event like that but do you really want to spend a fortune to go there guaranteed that you will finish last (or close to last)?
It's not like they can just pack their stuff in a camper (like team Luxembourg) and drive there in a matter of hours)

Both their riders got lapped in the C-Final (not B-Final!).
All of their riders were like 1min off the pace (per Lap!) in free practice and qualifying.

Interesting fact about the Danish...... Nikolaj Larsen their MXGP rider was totally banged up on Saturday, but rather than get ruled out of contention completely (like when Max Anstie got landed on in Ernee, missing Sunday so GB came 18th), he lined up and did the gate drop and still got the 39th position scored

That's cool. I saw that he started the race then basically pulled straight into pit lane. I remember James Noble doing something similar at Budds Creek after dislocating his shoulder

Those are some cool and interesting facts man. Thanks!! Wish the USA finishing 9th was better news though haha. That part sucks!

That was weird. I'd be interested in hearing what happened. I always cheer for those guys too.

I posted a bit of a smart arse comment on FB about the Irish having the same rider line up for 20 years.

Then heard on the broadcast that it was Martin Barrs 15th MXoN . Went digging found out he is 31 years old meaning he has raced the event every year since the age of 16!

Can anyone confirm that.

If so that is impressive

I've heard the speaker say it was his 12th, impressive anyway. Also it was Paulin's 9th consecutive Nations, and he never raced an MX2-bike during it.
