I could have missed it but has anyone seen anything at all on any mainstream media outlets about MM winning a million bucks?? Feld, Monster, anyone send out press release?? Just odd as that is a pretty big single payday for anything........if it was nascar would have been on 27 million outlets....sadUnsureUnsure

Funny you mention that. I was just thinking that. A million is a huge pay out. I would assume it would get a little bit of attention. Anyone hear anything?

I've seen nothing in the mainstream. And ya, after the race, even I was stoked to see Marvin win that sort of cash at a single race. Pretty amazing really.

Pretty crazy not a single blurb anywhere about it. Shows how little our sport matter i guess. I figured at least a little coverage on one of the FS1 sports shows, but nothing.

It’s a G Damn shame it isn’t in mainstream
News as the Kentucky Derby is a Niche
Race and a Niche sport also.

Journalists are being lazy and this sport will
Die soon with attitudes everyone has

Only other quick million next to the derby
And no one knows about it.

No excuse is valid

While I agree it would be nice to get more mainstream pub, to say the Kentucky Derby is a niche race is crazy. The 1st race was in 1875. I don't think journalists are being lazy. If anything is a niche race it's the MEC.

On top of the sport being under the radar, and $1M not being a huge payout, it probably doesn't help that they spelled his name wrong on the giant check..

Cant we just be happy that mx is the little podunk sport that it is?

Id rreeeaaaalllyyy like to keep the everyday street trash from making their way into mx.

Lets be honest, the small community we have is pretty sweet. Lets not ruin it for the sake of some numbers

A Sam Jones level interview with Marvin about the win and what it means for him heading into the 2018 season would be nice.

Well if you read it on here it must be true....If you win $1m in the lottery and take the lump sum did you really win the million dollar lottery? It's a million dollar payout to the winner if they take the deferred payments...just like the lottery...RV took the deferred payments so he won a million who knows what Marv is going to do...

RV was muthafucking them afterwards because it was take a less lump sum or instalments of 50K a year I think... which really, it should be what it says.

RV did take the $50,000 a year deal. He didn't take it all in one lump sum.
