Ive seen some people using this one of my friends uses it in his honda.. Whats your thoughts on using it i have kawis 450 and 250..

Used to use it on both sides of the Honda 450 no problems at all good stuff. Also in all my heavy equipment oil changes not as cheap as it once was but niether is anything else.

Me to. I have used it in all our 250 and 450s and have never had a problem. The last 450 had a ton of hours on it and everything still looked new inside when we pulled it apart.Its cheap so I change the oil every 2 hours.
My last van still ran like new and had good oil pressure and no noises at 225K when I sold it and that got fresh Rotela every 5 to 7 thousand miles.

Rekluse recommends Shell Rotella T.

Edit: And if anyone knows their stuff, I figure they do.

I've used it for years. Cheap and easily available.

OP, if you go to thumpertalk and search on "Rotella", I promise you, you'll have (at least) a days worth of reading.

Not the synthetic, the standard T in the white jug for $11/gal at wall mart. Same with the Chevron Dello 400.

I was getting ready to say, WalMart sells the standard one, but you have to go to the Auto Parts store to get the blue jug synth.

If it's ok for wet clutches, i'll give it a shot in the two stroke. I have been running ATF, but that stuff eats plastic (water pump gear)

It's ok for wet clutches because its a Diesel blended oil, so it doesn't have the friction modifiers required for Passenger car oil that are bad for the clutch.

I've used it in all my mx bikes as well. I also used it back when I was RR in all my R6's with their slipper clutches and no issues at all. Shifts like butter.

I use straight 40 wt Rotella in all my gearboxes (all 2 strokes). bought a 5 gal bucket at a truck shop, lasts forever.

I've used it for years in my CRF tranny's, with no problems. What's odd is that when I use it in both my 2-stroke tranny's, I get some clutch slippage under heavy use. When I swapped it out with some Motorex gear oil, the slipping disappeared. I don't abuse the clutch with the thumpers like I do with the 2-strokes, so that may be the difference.

Rotella T 15-40 in everything I own, I even use it in the service area of my shop. Good stuff and no problems.

Rotella T is formulated for wet clutch. 175 + Vet hours on 2 different YZ250Fs, no issues. Was pleased to see Rekluse developed their clutches using this product. Have heard that Yamalube is the same product, different bottle.

We've used the 15-40 in every 4 stroke we've owned including our last 3 Kawi's. I use the T6 5-40 in my Street bike.

I've used both versions of the Rotella in my four stroke bikes for years without incident.

I hope people realize that most oils labeled as "synthetic" are not 100% synthetic having only small percentage of true synthetic oil .

I did the math and it was cheaper to use Motul 300V because everyone says to change the rottella every ride or 2 hours. I can go 12-15 hours depending on the weather. Also I don't like the idea of pulling drain plugs all that much I know a few guys that have ha to fix there drain plug threads from all those oil changes.

Do you fan the clutch on your CR500? I don't fan the clutch on my CRF450 and I've never had it slip with Rotella. I do fan the clutch on my CR and RM 250's, and that's when I experienced clutch slippage with Rotella. Like I said before, that disappeared when I switched to Motorex gearbox oil. I still run rotella in the 450.
