Could we see an industry in moto for this? From neck donut to constrictor?

It seems like we can do as much as we want to helmets but the fact still remains...our brain has to shift direction at some point during impact. No amount of helmet technology will ever prevent that from happening entirely. Have to work from the inside out.

People will probably trip out about it at first thinking it is cutting off blood flow to the brain. Just point them in the direction of compression gear and the benefits of that.

Makes sense at least anecdotally as everyone knows fighters who have a tough weight cut and dont get rehydrated tend to be more succeptable to getting ko'd. Never would have imagined the idea of creating back pressure though. Genius! Hopefully it works as well as early results indicate

But thats just it, it doesn't cut off blood flow. Arteries deliver oxygentated blood to organs, i.e. the brain. The way this product works, is by slightly compressing the external jugular veins (that take blood away from the brain) to create back pressure (volume in relation to lumen size). The arteries reside deeper so their flow should not restricted. That is part of the genius of this device. Looks like it could very easily be worn in MX (might cause a conundrum for those that wear neck brace's though).

What a great idea! Thanks for posting this.
