This is a bummer, but who can blame him.

Not surprising. I don't hold it against him.
7/29/2017 6:23pm
Just curious from what I've read. Why is monster keeping him from racing it?

Bummer news, but not much of a surprise.

Well at least he's doing the mxgp that mean absolutely nothing.
Baggett is out too I guess with his thumb. Tough one for the usa again

Pick two:

Cole Seely
Jason Anderson
Justin Bogle
Weston Peick
Cooper Webb
Justin Barcia

We need to stop going until they move the date. The fact it's a week or two from monster cup way after our nationals is lame. Don't blame guys that don't want to go.

Gotta be Anderson and Webb now.

Bummer that we can't have our fastest guy there, but I saw it coming.

Dungey retired, Tomac is out and Bagget needs surgery. Our MxDN team was looking a lot better before the nationals started.

Pretty good team. You know there will be no lack of heart with that group.

Serious question. Is Martin D. a US citizen?

I'd like to see what type of effort we'd get with Webb after last year. I'd say he's got a bigger chip on his shoulder than anyone.

It would be good to give a reason or conditions under which he would go. Too late for this year but like others have said it appears to be schedule driven. If nothing changes I assume Tomac won't ever go again.

Bummer but ya can't blame him really.
I'd send Barcia, Anderson, & Osborne

I think Webb's results this summer disqualify him from contention:

I don't even know if Webb would want to go at this point.
7/29/2017 6:56pm
Osborne, Anderson, and ???

As long as we're just picking names out of the hat for the 3rd rider, I say Weston Peick; I heard he eats hard stuff for brunch.

Maybe Webb would go on an '18?

JA/__/ZO

Seely I guess.

I'd sure like to know the whole story behind Eli not going.

I don't understand the "but who can blame him" part so many people have said. He doesn't have to go but he has chosen not to two years in a row now. That doesn't make me a bigger Eli Tomac fan. I can say that.

Surprised everyone is taking this so well considering all the guys that declined to go in the past and got shit for it

These guys have so many races, nonstop almost all year long. I don't mind that he said no. There's only so many days they can push their bodies to the limit.

I bet his contract has something to do with it. Hes a proud american, and i cant see him deciding not to go two years in a row. Especially knowing what fans think of it

The only guy that makes sense from the 450 class is anderson...
Maybe Seely but I don't think he would be good on Euro tracks.
And then Osborne obviously and either Martin brother on a 450

Googlefiend,
I doubt his contract specifically says he cant go, but obliges him to too many things too close to the des Nations time. Just speculation though.

Webb/Anderson/Zacko.

I love these guys that go and represent the country when alot of folks seem to turn their backs on them... i.e. Anderson and Webb last year.
