I picked this bike up from a vital member yesterday here in Texas. After 2 years of searching and a 500 mile round trip I got one. We were discussing a bike he had for sale and in the conversation he said by the way I have this Plano honda cr 125 for sale as well. It appears to have every indication as a true team. I'm going to try and gather as much info on it as I can any one feel free to chime in. The frame has no vin, the pipe has no PC serial number on the tag,the bike is running the 99 or below cylinder which I have another Plano motor to be the same and has acorn nuts on the head which I spoke with a mechanic from 01 who said they ran those on the 01 bikes. There is some rubber padding that is below the carb on the motor as well it is on the head stay possibly for vibration and also just some small odds and ends that isn't normally seen on a reg bike. There is no AMA tech inspection on the bike so I don't know if it's a race, practice or test bike. I know all the suspension and titanium hard ware is missing which is usually the first to always go.
The Shop
I'm starting tomorrow with mine.
Pit Row
It gives me a scratchy finish.. Maybe the red scotch brite i have is to rough ??
When i use steel wool afterwards it's not removing the scratches and i end up with a polished finish..
Am i doing something wrong here ?
i'd love to see this thing at houston sx this year!
