2017 yz 250f exhaust .

Hi guys, new to this forum because I'm trying to get some advice . I have a 2017 yz 250f and I am looking into the best exhaust system to get for it. I have read Motorcross Action Magazines review from back in 2014 of all the major brands but didn't know if there results would be the same with the 2017 model, and the engine changes that have been made between then and now . Most brands state that their exhaust will fit from 2014 through to 2017 but I think pro circuit have a 2017 specific pipe and can't find out why. I guess What im asking is can I use MXA's results ,or is there a pipe that works better with the 2017 model . Cheers Scott .

2017 same as the 2016 and I used the FMF system. Worked really well and I liked how well the pipe held up.

I can't speak for others but FMF seems to be what most people are running on the blue bikes.

I would say the stock exhaust is outstanding on the Yz250f but, if you are dead set on getting an exhaust then go with your personal favorite, cheapest, or coolest looking. I can tell you from personal experience that an exhaust on this bike will give you little gains but just move the power around and it just depends on where you want it and the MXA exhaust shootout is a great place to start when doing research.

I have the same bike debating if I should get a full system or would a slip on be able to handle the job

IMO get a full TI FMF system. Go on RMATV and buy a slip on. Wait three days. Then use the RMATV $ towards the head pipe. If you order on a Saturday or Sunday you will have time to get both pieces before the next weekend.

As others have suggested, I'd stay stock, but if you have money to spend then FMF would be a solid choice.
