Countdown to Supercross: Troy Lee Designs Lucas Oil Honda and Chaparral Honda 5

We stopped by the Troy Lee Designs Lucas Oil Honda track to see what the crew was up to, and also caught Andrew Short in action on his Team Chapparal Honda. Here's a quick peek of what's happening inside the fence.

There was a time last year when we felt like we were constantly doing the Christian Craig comeback story. He'd heal up and start racing again, then find out his wrist wasn't good, and then start all over again. After finally redoing his wrist surgery, and losing almost a whole year in the process, he's back in action, and anxious to start riding.

Christian's back to running an Alpinestars neck brace. He said he likes the thinner profile of the new one.

After a few days of rain (and time off to let the track dry), the guys were ready to get some laps in. Yep, So. Cal. this time of year is pretty awesome...if a bit chilly in the shade. Andrew looks plenty comfy on the '13 Honda factory bike.

This time of the year is all about the pit board. Number of laps, and up or down on time from the previous lap.

Guys are always stoked to get fresh new whoops to ride...but these aren't the freshest we've seen. But adapting to the worst conditions (and changing conditions) sometimes makes things easier on race day.

After some extended time off following internal injuries suffered near the end of the '12 Supercross season, it's really good to see Cole Seely back in action. From everything we've heard from the Troy Lee Designs Lucas Oil Honda crew, he hasn't lost a step, and actually may be even faster than before.

This time of year you'll find all sorts of filming and photo shoots going on. Specialized Bicycles is one of the sponsors of the Troy Lee Designs Lucas Oil Honda team, and they had a crew on hand to get some moto footage of the riders in action.
