(September 7, 2006) - Mike Kidd Entertainment Group (MKEG) - one of the leading motorcycle race producers in the country - is ready to announce rules and class information for the Pit Bike races to be held at each round of the 2007 BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series including the US Open of Arenacross to be held at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Feb. 9-11, 2007 that will carry a $10,000.00 purse.
“After talking with numerous people in the pit bike industry, I feel we have come up with classes and rules that will help with the growth of pit bike racing throughout our series,” said Mike Kidd, president of MKEG.
The Pit Bike Pro class will compete on Friday and Saturday night with a guaranteed $1,500.00 purse with the remaining classes racing on Sunday with the youth and amateur motorcycle program.
Pit Bike Pro: ages 18 and over, 12” Rear Wheel only. All bikes must use Air-cooled, 4-stroke engines with Open Cradle Frames. 14” front wheels (maximum) are allowed. Manual Clutches are allowed. Unlimited Engine modifications are allowed. Maximum Wheel Base is 49 inches.
Youth Minibike: 13-17 years of age. 10” Rear Wheel only. All bikes must use Air-cooled, 4-stroke engines with Open Cradle Frames. 12” front wheels (maximum) are allowed. Manual Clutches are allowed. Unlimited Engine Modifications are allowed. Maximum Wheel Base is 45 inches.

Amateur Production 110: ages 18 and over, only bikes that have 200 identical, manufactured machines of the same model available for sale to the general public at multiple dealer outlets are eligible to compete. The following items must remain “Bone Stock”: Engine cases, Engine head and cylinder (no cylinder spacers allowed), cam, valve size, carburetor (re-jetting is OK), carburetor manifold, engine appearance (do not paint or coat cases), frame, swingarm, forks, wheel hubs (wheel size must remain stock) brakes, fuel tank.
