Davi Millsaps: 6th Place

After an off-track excursion in his heat race, Davi Millsaps found his way to the main event through the semi. With his Hinson clutch helping to deliver the power to the ground, Davi exploded out of the gate and into the second spot after the first turn. He rode a smart race, holding off the competition behind him, taking 2nd and a spot in the main.

With another strong start in the main event, Davi rounded the first turn inside the top five. He would again defend his position on the increasingly deteriorating track. Not letting up, he would only slide back one spot to finish the night in the 6th spot. With five rounds down, Davi holds down 5th place in the championship points.

“The track was tough tonight,” said Millsaps. “I felt good all day, and while I had an unfortunate issue in my heat, I came back strong in my semi and main. I am happy with my finish despite the track conditions, and to get out of here safe is a plus. I am looking forward to Arlington next week and getting on the podium.”

Blake Baggett: 7th Place

Getting a handle on the track early on, Blake Baggett posted the 7th fastest qualifying time of the day. He would continue to show his mastery of the technical track in his heat race, battling from just outside the top five into 3rd place. He would hold off a late race charge by points leader Ryan Dungey, finishing 3rd and transferring to the main event.

His excellent gate pick allowed Baggett a solid start in the main event. He battled inside the top ten early on, working his way up through the field and past the competition. Using the superior setup of his WP Factory Services suspension allowed him to tackle the deep ruts and bring his KTM to the finish in 7th place. With his solid performance, Baggett jumps up to 11th in championship points.

“I had another good ride” said Baggett. “The track wasn’t ideal, but I was able to find my rhythm out there. We are still going in the right direction and look forward to Arlington next week and a spot on the box.”
