Top Ten Ride for Team RMATVMC-KTM-WPS in San Diego

Payson, UT (Jan. 16, 2017) -  Round two of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross season visited Petco Park in San Diego, CA, as Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS took to the track this past Saturday night with the Stellar MX camo graphics and a custom USMC seat cover by Seat Concepts for Military Appreciation Night. Team rider Davi Millsaps was the team's top finisher, as he took a semi win and rode to an 8th place finish in the main event.

Davi Millsaps

Davi Millsaps made his way to the main event through an impressive ride in his semi, where he took the lead early and walked away from the field. Millsaps put the hammer down, putting distance between him and the rest of the field to take the semi win and a spot in the main event.

Davi launched out of the gate in the main event near the front of the pack. He continued to battle inside the top ten throughout the main event, hanging on to his ODI grips and taking the checkered flag in 8^th place.

"It was a tricky night." said Millsaps, "I got the semi win, and it felt good to be up front. We are making progress and I’m ready for next weekend at A2."

Blake Baggett

Blake Baggett bounced back from his heat race with a solid ride in the semi, earning a spot in the main event. Baggett launched out of the gate in the semi and made his move into fourth place by mid race, getting himself a transfer spot to the main event.

In the main, Blake rounded the first turn inside the top ten, battling for position early on. He would make a few mistakes that shuffled him backwards mid-race. Baggett then recovered and finished the night in 20^th place.

"Tonight wasn't my night." said Baggett, "I have the speed to race up front. We will make some changes and look forward to next weekend at A2 for a better finish."

Team Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM-WPS will head back to Anaheim for round three of the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross Series.
