The >PU< mark just means it's made out of Polyurethane

FYI anyone looking for some good suspension settings for a 200+ lb B rider, I posted my settings here. Did the ReStackor analysis and valving myself and so far am very happy with the bike the past few weeks. https://thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/1332438-2019-kx450-restackor-analysis/#comments ... more »

Ugh, horrible to hear. First off I hope Mike has a full and speedy recovery - and secondly hopefully the person who did this is brought to justice.

Added reply in a thread Weirdest thing you’ve seen at the track? 7/8/2020 7:35 AM

Didn't see it at the track, but this dude was driving around with a YZ250F in the back seat of his convertible Sebring fully assembled, with the front wheel hanging over the passenger door! I had to pull a U-turn to snap a pic haha.

No overheating here. Don't idle the bike on the stand for more than a minute or so or it will get hot with no airflow. Losing a little coolant from full level is normal. I've only had my level drop below the top of the fins once when there was a problem ... more »

Same here. About 115 all moto. Did top end at 100. Only problems I've had to date are bending the rear chain guide, cracked muffler mount, and that single bearing chain roller got pretty sloppy so I replaced it early. Bike has been fantastic!

Added reply in a thread Upstate New York riding? 6/26/2020 8:22 PM

Ton of riding in NY. I'm in Ithaca and there's something like 20 tracks within 2.5 hrs. Upstate Motocross, Empire State MX, CNYMRA, D34 (kinda), and M.S.C are the districts in the area. I have a list of tracks I can post on Monday, but the closet tracks ... more »

It doesn't matter which coupler you're using. If you flash any of them to all 0's it will behave like the green one. If you plug in the black or white and read the fuel/ign tables you'll see the offset values for those couplers and the associated "Map ... more »

Big fan of FXR helium gear. I've owned Fly Hydrogen, Fox 360, and Thor Prime over the past few years. The FXR and Fly gear is the best balance of durability and performance for me.

My shock is a pogo stick and I loosened my throttle tube and rotating it forward to prevent my elbow from dropping when I twist it.

Added reply in a thread Motocross physically demanding/training video ? 6/13/2020 7:19 AM

There used to be a crazy Heath Voss training video from back in the day. I can't remember if it was on RacerXVT or Transworld? I remember him doing some gnarly peg-board work.

Added reply in a thread Fixing a dent - FMF Titanium Header 5/30/2020 8:29 PM

I did my ti header by pressurising the header with about 20 psi and heated the area with an oxyacetylene torch. Go slow and be careful you don't blow a hole in it. Work from the perimeter of the dent and slowly move in as the dent "rolls" out.

Are you using the right seat bolt? The OEM one has a shoulder in it so it isn't clamping on the number plate. A normal M8 is just going to loosen up. I have over 100 hrs on mine and don't recall losing one yet

Added reply in a thread 100 percent Armega Goggle 5/22/2020 3:05 AM

I've been using the Armega since it launched last year and have been loving them. I thought the hiper lenses would be a gimmick, as I've always been a "clear lens guy", but holy crap do those lenses let you see details in the track! I personally haven't ... more »

Added reply in a thread What 2018+ bike turns and corners as well as the 06 RM250? 5/18/2020 8:58 AM

I had an 06 RM250 and I don't think it handled particularly great honestly. The engine was the best 250 smoker engine I've ridden though!

Added reply in a thread Staple size for seat cover install 4/13/2020 11:28 AM

Exact same one I use and it works great. I picked mine up at Home Depot. I typically use 3/16" staples. Before that I used a manual stapler which worked, but didn't have the long nose that the pneumatic has, so it didn't do a good job of driving the ... more »
