Added reply in a thread How many races have you done? 8/1/2020 9:03 PM

I cracked my wrist in a one off hare scrambles race, broke a leg in a first turn crash at Corona in a night race, broke a hand at De Anza when a large rock was flipped up n the air and it nailed my hand. That’s all I can think of in years of racing. ... more »

The thought of a deer running after me makes me laugh 😂

Added reply in a thread Street bike deer strike 8/1/2020 1:51 PM

That sounds bad. More likely to have them stop n the road and stare at me before I destroy it and I’m flying through the air. I may go for slowing down when out on the country roads . Thanks for the info 👍

So maybe those whistles they make for street bikes are a pretty good idea. I may order one, even if it’s 10% effective it’s better than nothing

Triumph Tigers are excellent ADV bikes. Can he go out and buy one without causing a conflict with Suzuki?

Yeah that always gets me. I’m not sure but I’m thinking the legendary Marty Smith did not have the send off he and Nancy deserved because of restrictions. Families should be able to have funerals just like the congressman. I have a dear friend whose ... more »

It’s funny you mentioned haunted because that’s the exact word our client used. She was so confused! It was the fan over her bed and that thing would start/stop at all hours. It was driving her nuts. We were really close to taking it down and sending ... more »

I was lucky enough to grow up and race when the sport took off n the US; especially here n So Cal. From 1972-1982 I would say I averaged 2 a week for a solid 10 years. Back then we had sanctioned high school races and we would race at Corona on Friday ... more »

We put a ceiling fan in a house and when I used the remote to turn the fan on it opened the neighbors garage door. When the neighbor used his opener it would turn the ladies fan on. I just have wasted 4 hours trying to fix her damn fan ther was operating ... more »

So do you believe or is it fact that the vaccine would prevent us from getting the virus or would it work like a flu shot and possibly ease the symptoms?

Added reply in a thread COVID thread 7/31/2020 1:55 PM

I’m 60 and never had a flu shot. I’ve also never missed more than a day or two of work each year, if that. I can’t remember the last time I stayed home from illness....it’s been several years. I totally understand why people get the shots, I also understand ... more »

Are you guys going to def get the vaccine when it’s released? I’m still not sure. I def know there is a horrible virus and respect the dangers, I wear my mask around strangers, social distance, wash my hands more than anytime n my life. Just not sure ... more »

I ride on average 400 miles a week on the coast/backroads. On the backroads I’m always fearful of varmits jumping out in front of me. Does anyone know if those dear whistles do anything? Not too many here in so cal but they are out there. Glad to hear ... more »

I love San Clemente and go up there a few times a month on my street bike. Even tossed my dads ashes off the pier when nobody was looking. It was his favorite city and he wasn’t even a beach guy. My goal is to live there someday

Right now I have him a notch below RV. I believe he is going to go several more years and with the expected tittles in the future I’d put him above RV and even above Stewart. For outright speed I wouldn’t put anyone above Bubba. Unfortunately his career ... more »

How’s things going where you live? No mask seen in a month, are things under control over there?

Added reply in a thread COVID thread 7/26/2020 9:18 AM

Since you are going riding I’m thinking you are asymptomatic like 90% of the cases. I’m sure if you are smart enough to ride a bike you’ll be wise enough to not French kiss any of your riding buddies. No open face helmet with yacking and sneezing on ... more »

You are 100% correct. I’ve had 2 family members in the hospital in the past 2 weeks here in the “hotbed” if the virus and there is no overflowing bodies in tents at either hospital. It’s becoming very hard to listen to anything anyone in the media has ... more »

Hopefully they get a record turnout for amateur racing. Great opportunity to watch a National with minimal crowds
