Added reply in a thread wide pegs on for a CR 2/18/2018 4:41 AM

The KTM and YZ pegs look great. Kinda like bell bottoms and pulled up white socks with tight gym shorts I cant believe we used such skinny small foot pegs and thought nothing of it. But aren't there pegs made that will fit without grinding or drilling? ... more »

Both of you built a couple good looking Yamahas I know people have had DLS brakes work well. I just never felt one feel anything but a mushy mess. I used to think Honda drums worked the best and Yamaha a solid second. For some reason I had a extra YZ ... more »

when you tighten the hose clamps that MXVet showed you on Amazon, be smart with the wrench. Its easy to over tighten and strip the worm gear, I like those the best. I have them on my bike. Just don't crank on them like you are working on a old F150

I had a 06 200 XC for a minute. Best engine I've ever ridden with for me. I loved it

I don't mind the stock 78 side plates. That was a good looking machine. It's the last of behind the boot side plates. And your numbers lay flat, unlike a RM that had the crazy bulge from the upper shock mounts to deal with. I think the side plates on ... more »

The KTM pegs look good. YZ footpegs won't work. I believe the peg mounts on the frame changed between 85 and 86.

I want some trick wide pegs for a 85 CR250? I rather not get the 25.00 cheapie Chinense ebay foot pegs although they would work. I want something that looks a little factory. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Camp right at the track. It's the best. No hook ups. I love when I get up before everyone and go for a walk with my dog at the beginning of the day. It's serene with a fog covering the track and I'm filled with anticipation of a great day riding my old ... more »

for some reason motorcycle titles are the most lost thing in the world next to the matching sock in your sock drawer. How do you check a motorcycles VIN to be sure it wasn't stolen before you buy a used bike?

I always thought a 125 tank would look cool sitting on top of the fat 500 cylinder too I find it hard to believe that you find any challenge to makes one of your bikes into a trick functional race machine too much work.

That's funny, I scrolled down to say you should install a 250 tank to replace the huge stock tank. Years ago I don't remember looking at them and thinking they were obnoxious. I guess getting used to the sleekness of modern bikes older 500 tanks really ... more »
