I really like mine, great ergos and handling. Suspension pretty good out the box, turns much better and less busy at speed then the last Gen. What I noticed the most over my 14 is it follows a rutted turn a lot better no knifing or tucking. I put on ... more »

Hell of job, that is one great looking YZ. I agree the plated pipe looks sweet on your bike. The plastic came out awesome. I re did a old RM tank and it took a lot of time and effort to bring it back to life and you did all the plastic. Can't say enough ... more »

Added reply in a thread 2015 YZ 250F Big Bore Question 7/24/2020 3:28 AM

No, sorry I forgot to mention the cams, the valves are stock Yamaha. It has mild Jesse Williams cams, nothing radical that takes a lot of spring pressure. I also forgot to mention it was dynoed with a brand new O-ring chain that definitely hurt the power ... more »

This is a yzf 270 build on a conservative dyno anyone can build with a ported head, exhaust, 14.1 comp. out of the box cylinder works 270 kit with .010" cut off the base, GET ecu on pump gas compared to a stock KTM. I was hoping the peak hp ... more »

Stock to stock about 1-2 more HP through out the curve.

Added reply in a thread 2015 YZ 250F Big Bore Question 7/23/2020 11:26 AM

I've built a quite a few 270's, yzf and crf's with help from Derick @ HPbikes. All of these bikes run amazingly well with good reliability. Stock you will notice more bottom and mid with about the same top end maybe a bit more at peak. They don't loose ... more »

I worked on every brand bike and owned plenty from the 80's until now and without a doubt Honda has always had the best quality and attention to detail. Metallurgy, fastener quality, plastic quality, fit and finish and engineering were always second ... more »

CR die hard here!! keep the post and pics coming. How much RWHP on the dyno did the HRC motors make in the early to mid 2000's?

Added reply in a thread 2005 Honda CR 125 5/21/2020 10:31 PM

Nice looking build! They are without a doubt one of the best handling 125's ever made, I didn't think the motors were that bad stock, well yea they were LOL but they come alive with some simple mods. I had a PC pipe on mine and preferred the stock pipe ... more »

Thanks for the the history lesson, one of the greatest MX bikes ever made up to that point! The 82 was also great but that was the end for Suzuki's dominance until things started turning around in 1989

Added reply in a thread Why did you make the switch from a 250 to a 450? 2/25/2020 10:18 AM

I always wished that all the manufactures made a 350f around 48-50 rwhp that's right in the middle of a 250f and 450f torque curve with the weight closer to a 250f. The KTM/Husky 350 is in a league of its own with over 50 RWHP and a 14,000 rev limit ... more »
