Pinnacle Nutrition Group athletes Break out of Covid to land on the podium

PNG Athletes dedicate their lives to their craft 24 hours a day 7 days a week to be the best at what they do, but with no place to showcase their hard work. The sacrifice starts to become a grind and not motivating. Over the last 4 months there has been no body competing of any kind until the GNCC off road series started. Shortly after the Supercross series began racing in Salt Lake City for the last 7 rounds. Next to line up was local Moto, Mountain Bike racing.

On June 28th, a 7 race stent in Salt Lake City for the AMA supercross series did our PNG Moto team great with Chase Sexton wrapping up the 250 lites title in a convincing fashion. Alex Martin finishing 6th overall on his JGR Suzuki, and after missing the last two rounds with a broken hand Jordan Baily finished 15th overall on the 250 east.

Our off-road moto athletes hit the track in June for round 7 of the GNCC. After a hard day on the track Josh Strang continues to be up front and battling for wins on his Babbitt’s Kawasaki landing on the podium with a 2ndplace and holding 2nd in the overall points. In California, Kai Aiello was the top finishing Pro 2 racer and third overall at the SRA grand Prix. Kai looks to land on the podium in his next WORCS race.

The California mountain bike enduro series kicked off in central California, at China Peak Resort where PNG Mtb athlete Max Sedlak got through the dusty and challenging conditions with a very impressive 2nd place finish in pro men’s class.

Austen “Bubba” Warren, Cole Suetos and the rest of the Incycle team lead the charge into Idaho for the Pro Grt for the first DH race after a long break. Bubba had great qualifying times, but a flat while matching the leader’s splits put him out of contention for the win. The rookie Cole Suetos snuck inside the top 10 with a 9th overall. Not to be shown up by the men, the PNG girls held it down as well. Kialani Hines broke out her DH rig and finished a solid 5th. Zoe Ray Wood got her season started with a solid 7th after an early run mistake. Look for her to land on the podium soon!

We can’t leave out our hard working cross country mountain bike athletes John Wessling and Hannah Wray. They got back to racing at the Rim Nordic time trial in Big Bear, California. With 30 second gaps John Wessling finished a strong 2nd in elite Men’s. Hannah Wray put in her best race to date finishing 2nd as well in the 18 and under category, as 14 year old. Look for big things to come from her being under the guidance of John Wessling Fitness.

PNG Co-Founder Mike Sleeter couldn’t let our athletes show him up when he took the track to race 5 separate classes winning 3 of them at the Swapmoto Live TransAm event at Glen Helen Raceway. Mike Diorio finished on the podium in his respective 35+ expert classes.
