Started new thread WTB- Honda CR Center cases or Left side only 6/13/2019 10:50 AM

Looking for some center cases or left side only. My limited understanding is at least 92-96 are the same but more years may fit. Honda CR 250 1992-1996 There was an excellent effort to repair what I have. They used fiberglass. Looking at that flywheel

The KX almost looks done to begin with. I would love to find such a complete bike to start with. If you got it under $2000. you got a smoking deal. That should be a super easy one to do.

It looks absolutely fantastic. I have watched your build and enjoyed the process. You took an extremely practical approach and work hard to find needed parts. It builds like these that breathe fire for me and others. Thankfully I’m staying with a brand ... more »

Added reply in a thread What’s worth more? Barn find or complete restore? 6/10/2019 11:10 AM

A restore should be worth more. My caveat would be depending on the desirability and originality of the barn find. I purchased what one would consider a barn find 78 Maico 440. All original. It should be worth more then a fully restored one since it’s ... more »

Understand that glassbeads are very fine. This is not a substance you want getting into your motor. I glass bead and still I am amazed at where this stuff will stay. I have done cases and cylinders. But I wouldn't even think of doing that with the motor ... more »

Thanks for the encouragement gentlemen. Yes Godcho, every bolt, nut, and washer. There is some satisfaction in knowing that I addressed every one. The amount of work it took was monumental. I would not go that route on another. The biggest issue is despite

Brakes. Here was another subject matter I had no experience with. I just never had an issue with the need to rebuild disc brakes. I have changed plenty of brake shoes and pads but never a complete rebuild. I was not discouraged since other members had

I finally was able to get my front bled. I changed out to a used piston and seals since I wanted to take one from a functional unit. I can’t even explain what I did to get it done. Since I have at least 3 more front brakes to do I will try back bleeding ... more »
