We use Vertex Standard handheld radios that are hardwired to helmet kits from PCI Race Radios. I attached the push-to-talk button near the shoulder cup on my chest protector. So I reach up with my left hand to push the talk button. We just did a Baja

Added reply in a thread Which bars are everyone running? 6/10/2018 6:10 PM

Renthal TwinWall 996, crossbar removed. If I’m going on a long ride where I’ll be standing a lot, I add 6mm spacers under the bar clamps.

Personally, I miss WordNerd.

Added reply in a thread Marv Boo’d on the Podium 5/26/2018 9:35 PM

I was standing there at the podium. Marv was introduced to the crowd, followed by noticeable “boos”. It was LAME- and clearly showed how immature some of the crowd is.

Added reply in a thread Who could Ping possibly be talking about 5/25/2018 7:13 PM

I’ve read the same comment from Ping a few years ago and I don’t doubt it one bit. The rigorous PED testing has only been in place a few years. I’m sure there are active Pro racers who used the stuff before testing was in place.

That's the X and L, amigo. The 2019 R's and RX's have a gear position sensor (a-la 2009 CRF450R); which should come in handy for terrain-specific engine mapping.

There’s at least one improvement on the ‘19 models that’s not described in the PR, but it should be useful to us (you and I) in our quest for an all-terrain ripper.

I will be surprised if there is a part number for the ported-in-Japan cylinder head. You could borrow one from a Works Edition and have the porting duplicated in a stock cylinder head.

Honda is releasing a limited edition CRF450R. I was able to get a few pics of the bike at the CRF Collective event. Price is $11,499 and it’s available in August.

Added reply in a thread Fly racing pants question 5/11/2018 4:43 PM

I wore the 2018 Fly Evo pants today and they are not smaller than other Fly pants. They are definately "roomier" than the Fly vented gear from 2 or 3 years ago (Kinetic Mesh). But I'm skinny so the pants are never too tight.

STI Tech 2 Pro front is too small for a mousse. I tried it, and it doesn’t fit.
