The MX2 age rule is just plain stupid.

Added reply in a thread Max Anstie to Star Racing Yamaha 11/17/2019 10:02 AM

Two things.... 1.) I hope he has a blast on the 2560 indoors. 2.) It would be a crime to NOT have him on a 450 for the outdoors! He may be inconsistent at times , but if he gels with the bike he's on , I could definitely see him beating some highly paid ... more »

Started new thread One crazy music machine. 2000 marbles. 11/17/2019 9:50 AM

This came up on my feed last night on youtube and thought it was pretty impressive. Just from an engineering perspective and the thought process on creating it.......then learning how to play it. Crazy , but really neat I thought. [img] [/img]

Really enjoyed this Mav , so thanks. Anything to do with astronomy and the ocean , is always something that catches my interest. You see a video like this , it can be mind blowing and also pretty humbling.

Added reply in a thread Malcom Stewart Chain Derail and comes back on??! 11/14/2019 10:10 PM

I remember that happening , but it was really hard to see anything on video. But I do remember thinking , that's exactly how a bike acts when the chain derails. I wasn't lucky enough to have it slip back on the one time it happened to me.

I loved burnt Ridge. Went there plenty of times. If I was closer , could afford it and thought it was something that would pay off in the long run , I would. Used to race against and had some great battles with Nick in the past.

Added reply in a thread How would you feel if you bought this bike? (A lesson for us all) 11/14/2019 9:45 PM

TBteam........Honestly i'd be pissed as hell. Totally uncalled for from a seller. You simply can't sell a bike " ready to run and restored " with the shit you just found. Unless the seller is to stupid to think he couldn't possibly go to court over it. ... more »

Damn it Alph.....that makes my issues seem small in comparison. Take care of yourself man!

Added reply in a thread Back pain from motocross 11/12/2019 11:38 AM

My back seems to be doing fine , but damn both my knee joints have been aching like hell for some reason. Maybe the cold weather isn't helping , but they hurt worse then ever. Mornings have been terrible. Feels like at times one or both feel like they ... more »

Soooo......Is Anstie going to be practicing on a yellow bike , or a green bike?

Added reply in a thread Barcia Running Stock Motor 11/11/2019 12:09 AM

I agree with that 100%. In fact a lot of what you just wrote , is exactly what I typed up above. And even though what I ( we ) said , to throw an even bigger wrench into the discussion , some really fast dudes are terrible at fine tuning their bikes. ... more »

Added reply in a thread Barcia Running Stock Motor 11/10/2019 10:48 PM

Each and every person is an " Expert " on what they personally want out of a bike. Most of the really fast guys know a lot more about the little things that will help them feel more comfortable , thus ride the bike faster.....with more confidence. Just

Point # 3...........Ask Reed about " leasing " an $80,000 transmission , and to him it was worth it. That's just the tranny.

Ok , here is another example for you , that just happened. Justin Hill riding his MCR backed Honda , saying that he loved it because it felt faster than what his JGR built Suzuki was. Of course he'll say what ever he needs to say , to make his new team ... more »

Added reply in a thread Why no big name MXGP riders at Paris sx 11/10/2019 8:25 PM

Out of all the countries over on that side , France has always been more interested in the SX / indoor stuff then any other country over there. None of the other countries really seem all that interested , except for some one-off riders like TG. It simply ... more »

Trick question : What's the distance of the landing area on table top jumps , when we decide that a guy doubled it , tripled it or quaded it? If we jump to the back side of a 15' table , what's that called? If we jump to the back side of a 60' Table

Yes , but " what it was designed to be " is not what any sort of factory team is going to run. They are going to squeeze every bit of power they can out of that motor , tune it to that rider's specific needs and go from there. Pretty sure Justin's " ... more »

Added reply in a thread Barcia Running Stock Motor 11/10/2019 7:25 PM

You are going down a rabbit hole you won't be able to crawl back out of. A factory motor is most definitely built from the ground up , to produce the type of power , that specific rider needs / wants. Which most of the time , is more power , on top of ... more »

You're totally right. I was just giving an example of what helped me out personally , and maybe it's kind of the same line of thinking that Justin is on? There are plenty of guy's on here that could probably say the same thing , as in going down to something ... more »

I know I'll get flamed for this , but it's ok , it's expected. Being a vet rider on a 125 ( expert class ) , in longer moto's ( I seem to get killed on the starts ) , but after 10 mins I start reeling guys in , and by the 15 - 20 min mark I almost feel ... more »
