Reply to Did Ralph tone it down tonight? 2/23/2020 6:21 AM

No, Ralph is still terrible. Truly detracts from the broadcast and race.

Why dont these commentators call the race?

Reply to Tampa Supercross - Timed Qualifying Bench Racing 2/15/2020 12:58 PM

250A on the track, we get to see 2 bozos in the booth ... The NBC broadcast production is terrible.

Reply to San Diego Supercross - Night Show Bench Racing 2/9/2020 8:15 AM

It is time to face up to the fact that although the racing has been pretty good, the production and commentary is awful. Ralph is really bad. They throw it to the trackside reporters and they (especially WC) blather on and on about talking to somebodies ... more »

Yep. They do it every week. Both the production and commentary of these races is horrendous.

Too bad such a cool sport has such poor commentary. JettLaw was an improvement in the booth. Ralph really drags it down.

Bummer it's Ralph. When are they gonna bring the other guy back?

Reply to Reed and RC in the booth 2/3/2020 5:52 PM

Reed instantly upped RC's game. Reed mentioned the triple out, RC chimed right in. Reed also mentioned wheel-tapping a certain section - RC picked up on it. RC and Ralph just do not work. RC can do the job, he just needs help directing his commentary ... more »

Reply to Watching professional riders live vs tv 1/16/2020 5:23 AM

Besides the crazy speed of the pros, what does not come across on TV is the pure physicality of the pounding the bikes/riders take. The noise/jolt of the bike hitting the ground, chain slap, engine bark, etc. Those guysfand bikes take a beating. Amazing ... more »

when will the NBC production crew ever learn. Why oh why do they cut to some old clip or the bimbo on the sidelines when there is close action on the track. Year after year. Same old song.

What kind of gear and goggle deals you figure those guys had?

omg, makeupmud is back again. mute on.

Reply to Official announcers complaint thread 1/4/2020 8:17 PM

The announcers are ok, not great, prob better than hysterical Ralph. The trackside reporting is useless. The production is still not very good. Often off the action. Hold the replays till the live race is over. They fill between races with a bunch of ... more »

First 450 heat - who was the ?Suzuki? who lowsided in the first turn? - if they said I missed it.

Reply to Anaheim 1 SX - Night Show Bench Racing 1/4/2020 7:51 PM

Serious Question: Do the trackside reporters add anything of substance to the race? "I talked to so and so before the race and ....." they repeat something rather innocuous. Meanwhile the race is going on. What is the point? On the upside - Ricky has ... more »

Tuned back from the football game, so good to hear Weege on RDL. Weege brings some energy. Sorry but Blair just does not cut it.

Reply to Anaheim 1 SX - Timed Qualifying Bench Racing 1/4/2020 4:19 PM

So good to hear Weege. Adds energy to a very lackluster RDL program.

250A on the track and they cut to a sobbing Reed interview from yesterday

So great to hear Baggett's 4month old kid is there watching the race. Ugh.
