Added reply in a thread Will there be 2021 SX? 8/12/2020 12:27 PM

My guess is not in the normal way we are used to. Moderna has been a bit slow to enroll people for Phase 3. I would bet that the vaccine is safe and works well enough, but it won't be approved and manufactured until Jan 1 at the very earliest. No way ... more »

2.0 GPA in High School because I only cared about racing dirt bikes. 4.2 GPA / Valedictorian of my class at Columbia because I realized dirt bikes (and life) cost a lot of money.

Added reply in a thread Taking time off from work/life to ride.. 8/12/2020 8:13 AM

I purposely picked a job where I can take half a day off to go riding. I try to ride about once a week, work out 5-6 days a week. I rode full time for a few years when I was younger (17-19), and it was awesome, but I wouldn't take a financial hit now ... more »

I don't think Honda or Yamaha Motor Company wants to sub out motor development...

Damn, that was a huge hole he hit. Seems like he knew it was there, as someone was filming... Tracks can have some tough / scary obstacles on them, but off-road stuff can get gnarly in a hurry when the terrain bites you like that.

I will say it again, I would love to never do air filters and oil ever again. I also think about the new rider who knows nothing about working on bikes. This is much less intimidating. All the maintenance (chain, sprockets, tires, grips) is low risk, ... more »

Added reply in a thread How cognizant of gear selection are you? 8/11/2020 6:47 AM

On a 250F. I always know what gear I am in, and I use the clutch a lot. For me, the bike handles way differently in 2nd and 3rd gear, particularly right at the apex when you're leaned over most, so I always know what gear I am in. If I go into a tight ... more »

Added reply in a thread The window is really getting closed. Roczen 8/10/2020 2:55 PM

The problem with the idea of taking a ton of time off is that it will take a ton of time to get back in shape and to speed. Say it takes him a full year to recover from what is going on. It's going to take him another full year, at least, to get back ... more »

What do you use that's comparable to the RynoPower motivation and hydration stuff?

If they are just restructuring, why are people saying no line at 2021?

Added reply in a thread arma or ryno power 8/10/2020 3:09 AM

Yeah glucose polymers are slightly more advantageous than maple syrup for physical activity, but I do love maple syrup!

Added reply in a thread arma or ryno power 8/9/2020 2:58 PM

There are carbohydrates in the Ryno stuff as well, that’s what makes up most of the difference.

Added reply in a thread KX250 2021 vs. YZ250F 2021 8/8/2020 5:38 AM

I’m waiting on the 22 Honda, but yeah, all the 250s are pretty great now, minus the Suzuki

Added reply in a thread KX250 2021 vs. YZ250F 2021 8/8/2020 4:48 AM

The only non Yamaha 250F I had was a 2012 KX250. It was a great bike. Only problem I had was the oil filter bolt stripped, even though I knew it was a bad design and always under torqued it. Other than that it was great, and Yamahas have issues too, ... more »

The Rynopower stuff is good. Most of the ingredients have actual science behind them. I like the protein and hydration stuff the best. Motivation and Endurance are good products as well.

Added reply in a thread Shift gear no more? 8/7/2020 4:06 AM

Yes, E-town has been good lately. I still miss the old track, but this one is fun now. If Fox is just moving the staff back into the same building, I am hoping they keep the label or at least the style of Shift stuff. I assume this move is because it ... more »

Added reply in a thread Shift gear no more? 8/6/2020 10:22 AM

On the Gieco test podcast with Matthes and Keefer, Keefer says that Shift is done after the 2021 line. I hope he is mistaken, but I would guess that he knows what he is talking about. I will stock up on some Shift stuff when the 21 line comes out. They ... more »

Hard to infer their balance sheet from seeing who wears it at the track, but that does surprise me, particularly with Moto sales being pretty good recently. I will buy a ton of their gear if that ends up being true. Been wearing it off and on for almost ... more »

If I had to pick a single gear company to wear over the last 20 years and into the next 20, it would be Shift. No Fear had some bangers, that's for sure.
