Are you a VitalMX.com user? Have you ever dreamed about being a test rider? Well, here’s your chance. Race Tech and VitalMX.com are teaming up to give you the opportunity to be an official test rider. Just submit a video or an essay with photos that demonstrate why you are the best person for the job. If chosen, Race Tech will do a complete suspension revalve for your machine (2004 or newer), featuring Race Tech’s race proven Gold Valve system.

What do we need in return? A review, or course! It can also be in video or written format and it will be a main feature on VitalMX.com. Interested? Here’s how to show show us that you have the right stuff:

This is for my son.
My name is Johnny Moore; I’m 23 years old and reside in Madison, Mississippi. I got my first taste of the motocross world when I got my first bike back in 1992, and haven’t looked back since. Throughout the years I’ve put in many hours training, testing, traveling, and racing all over the United States chasing my dreams. In 2009 I achieved a lifelong goal of mine by turning pro and racing against the best in the world on the biggest stage in Supercross and Motocross. After racing in the series for a few years I felt it was the right decision to go back and complete my education. I recently graduated from lineman school at Holmes Jr. College and have accepted a full time job as a lineman, but I still ride or race almost every weekend. Even though I don’t have the time to race at the highest level full time any more I did give it a go at two outdoor nationals this season. I qualified 25th at Freestone and 29th at High Point in the 250 class, making the main show both rounds. Earlier in the year I raced the Arenacross Tour series winning all of the pro classes. I think I would be a good candidate because, along with my experience riding and racing for many years, I have completed school which will help me excel in my reviews for your product. I am a part time worker, full time college student, and avid motocross racer. Motocross runs in my family and I started when I was 7 years old. I not only like to ride, but I love the technical aspect motocross involves as well. I love coming home from class and tinkering around my bike and my garage. It is my hobby and passion. Hopefully I can get a job in the industry after I obtain my Business Management degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. My uncle raced GNCC’s with the likes of Hawkins and Lafferty. He taught my brother and I how to ride a bike well with proper form. Ever since then I have been at it every weekend true privateer style. I pit out of my two-door Tacoma then load up and go home. It would be a dream to be a part of something in the moto industry. I have a strong work ethic and know what I’m looking for when it comes to bike setup. I would do my absolute best in providing helpful feedback pertaining to any product.

Love riding my dirt scooter, if i had better bouncers i think i would avoid situations like above. When im on the bike i like to kick it into overdrive and let her rip! you can catch me at all the local hot spots, Milestone, Brosinore, Pala, Glen Helen (although the big hill is hard to make it up. i really gotta roost all the way up it!) Any ways i like to think i ride like damon bradshaw, but im not from the east coast. Its to cold over there. Anyways I applied at cycle parts west but ionno what happened there so otherwise i would just pay for race tech cuz one time, we had this kx450 see pic #2 below it had race tech suspension and that bike rode the whoops good!

Race Tech Test Rider Essay

My name is Frederick Roefer, but all my friends and family call me Auggie. I am 16 years old and I started racing motocross when i was five and like everyone else on a crf 50. I currently race 250 C, Open Novice, and Schoolboy 1 on a 2012 Crf 250R.This year has been the first year i started to actually get up to the front and run with the fast guys. I have been training to be the top guy but recently just broke my collar bone. I still have six weeks to go in a brace and i need help fixing my bike. Its falling apart from my crash. I race locally,nationally,motocross,arenacross,and anything with a dirtbike.

I have always grown up around motorcycles. From a young age I remember helping my father work and build is Harley's and from there helping him build his top fuel Harley dragster. My older brother got involved in riding at a young age and of course me being the little brother, I wanted to be like him and ride as well. Now that I am older Motocross is my passion and fuels me everyday to get up, train, ride and race. Whether I am hanging out at the track or racing, motocross is in my blood and always will be. For the rest of this year I am training for the Texas State Championship in November. From there I will train hard and hopefully make it to all of the big amateur nationals in Texas and possibly some out of state nationals. I do plan on training and qualifying for Loretta's as well. I will be running the +25 Pro class. I have hopes of making top 5’s in all my races and work my way up to podium finishes. I do plan on representing all my sponsors on the podium in top fashion! With everyone’s help I truly believe I can make it to where I want to be in the sport of motocross. To truly understand how suspension works and why it works the way it does, would only benefit me to get where I want to be with racing. To understand how the valving, oil levels, spring rates etc affect the way the suspension works would be exponential in my racing career. To know and understand why my suspension works the way it does due to the changes internally will allow me to adjust the clickers at races due to various track conditions. With my dedication and drive to race this opportunity would be a dream come true and give me the chance to take that extra step with my career. Thank you for this opportunity Race Tech!

Your photos must have a url address. In other words they need to exist online somewhere and cannot just be loaded directly. If you wish, you can load them onto the VitaMX.com photo page (http://www.vitalmx.com/profile_manager/photo_albums). Once you've done that just click the "Photo" button when posting on here, and insert the photo's URL address. It sounds complicated but it's pretty easy. Let's see those photos!

Race Tech Suspension Essay

My name is Lisle Wilson; I am from a small town named Heilwood, Pennsylvania. I have been an avid passionate fan of motocross the entirety of my life. My first bike as an 8 year old was an early 80s YZ 80 that did not like to run. I spent more time working on the bike (or messing it up worse) then I did riding it. Other than that bike I never really had any other bike as my parents financial status did not permit me the luxury. My friends all rode and I enjoyed watching them as much as they enjoyed riding. Although our closest track was pleasure valley raceway we never had the opportunity to ride a track. When I was 19 I joined the military and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. I bought my first real bike which was a 2000 KX 250. I went to a track there and was ever since insanely addicted to riding tracks. I later moved to Hawaii courtesy of the Army and bought a 2006 KX 450f. The track was called Kahuku Motocross Park. The track was built on Army training grounds and was only open during weekends. I would spend every weekend from open to close at the park for the better part of three years. I modified my suspension with Race Tech gold valving and pro circuit linkage and loved the difference it made. My bike reacted to the whoops with incredible straight line stability and would rarely swap out unless rider error and fatigue took effect. I only never really had the chance to race any actual AMA sanctioned races except for one. I raced the inaugural RC amateur supercross in Daytona, FL. I would end up breaking my leg the next two summers after and would spend hours of watching pro races and replays studying their every move and how the bike reacted to what they were doing. My passion for everything motocross is unparallel to anything on this earth it’s an abnormal addiction that few of us are lucky to endure. Thank you for the opportunity.

Vital MX Race Tech Submission

Just eleven months ago I made the difficult, but at the time necessary, decision to sell my motocross machine. The 2009 YZ250 was the first bike I had ever purchased brand new, fresh off the showroom floor. Racing motocross is not only immensely difficult on your mind and body, but also wreaks havoc on your wallet. As a college student, working part-time in between classes and homework, making my way to the local tracks became less of a priority.

If It's been eleven months since I've owned a dirtbike, why am I wasting my time writing this submission essay? The simple answer is because I couldn't stay away from the sport I love.

Unlike most of my race competitors, I got a late jump on the motocross game, lining up behind the starting gate for the first time at the "old" age of 16. Now, at the age of 22, I thought I could hang up the boots for a while and pursue other interests that were less expensive and exhausting while I worked my way through school. I couldn't have been more wrong. As all of you surely know, racing is in our genes, and the slightest smell or sound can give us fits of nostalgia. I was bitten by the MX bug again, and I decided it was time to get back to doing what I love.

My current bike of choice is now a 2004 CR250R. I have not even had a chance to ride my new weapon yet, but I have lost count of the hours of sleep I lose each night thinking about my virgin ride on my new (to me) red rocket.

In my 6 years of riding and racing, I have not once been able to afford any type of suspension work outside of the blown fork seal here and there. To receive a chance to write a professional review on top of a full suspension revalve is nothing short of a jackpot for a struggling college student. I hope my submission demonstrates that I do have the right stuff, but just in case, I'll go buy a few lotto tickets!

Since the age of 3 I have been riding and racing. I have a deep passion and drive for the sport. It is my dream to make it to Loretta Lynns 2013! I would love to be a part of this opportunity! My name is Derek Lucas; I currently live in southern New Hampshire, and I own a 2011 KX450F. I ride for NESC/NEMX/NEMA motocross organizations.

I have owned many bikes. Upon getting a new bike, getting the suspension compatible for how I ride is the most important thing that tops my list. I do what I can with stock internals to make the bike corner better, be a little more plush, and settle when coming out of braking bumps into a corner. I spend many hours in the sand and on hard packed tracks to test and find the best suspension settings for my liking. There is not a better feeling than having 100% complete trust in your bike going to a race.

Being a part of the race tech testing team would be a dream come true, I would not only do the best I can to prove and give the results, But I would represent your company to the greatest of my ability! Thank you for taking the time to read my submission.

Hello VitalMx and Race Tech, my name is Shawn. Im twenty five years old and have been riding dirt bikes since I was five and racing motocross for the last five years. It takes a true motorcycle enthusiast to understand the passion and heart that goes into this sport. Unfortunately with the current economy it has made it difficult for new riders to enter our sport. Often our only option is using old and worn equipment that make it difficult to succeed on. Motocross is ninety percent rider and ten percent machine, but it does help to have Race Tech wrenching on the critical ten percent.
A rider that has the ability to differentiate critical suspension symptoms and make the correct diagnosis has vital skills needed to be a successful test rider. Consistently testing and tuning suspension components has allowed me to gain vast knowledge in malfunctioning suspension. Making a distinction between compression and rebound issues can allow a test rider to make appropriate changes that will allow for a stable chassis. Long Island NY has various terrain that requires multiple suspension setups and a keen sense for rider feedback.
Clearly I do not have a degree in engineering, nor can I educate your current test riders in the ergonomics that make a suitable race machine. My only goal is to obtain the best functioning suspension setup that will aid my racing hobby. I’am a true motocross and motorcycle enthusiast with a heart devoted to the sport. I have the knowledge required to sense notable changes and draw accurate conclusions, all of which are vital aspects of being a test rider.

I dont know if this is going to work again, but Bayodome thank you for posting one photo of me I appreciate it. I have a lot of my computer but for some reason they will not load. They might be to big and the ones that have loaded the url is not working. Well thanks for your help and getting me up there.

They won't load because you keep using the page's URL. Right-click on the image itself and select "Copy Image URL" or "Copy Image Address". That is what you want to insert, not the address for the entire page that the image is on. Try it again.
