Tech Tips: Fork Installation


We're betting that if you take your forks off for maintenance or a hop-up, that you're wanting to get the most out of their performance once you reinstall them. That means making sure they're installed correctly, including having them run parallel so they're not bound up as they work through their travel.

Factory Connection's Jake Doyle spends more time with a wrench in his hand than he does in front of a video camera, but he has some installation tips that'll make your job go smoother, and your forks working better. Just be sure to check your bike's owner's manual for the proper torque specs for your brand and model.
