Toronto Thursday

While the anticipation's building for the start of the 2006/2007 World Supercross GP this weekend in Toronto, today was all about doing some good for kids afflicted with hydrocephalus, the number one cause of brain surgery in kids.

A couple weeks ago we told you about Paul Gross and his fundraising efforts through the Inside Line program  and www.mxforchildren.org. We're not sure what's more impressive, the over $32,500 raised, or how young some of the fundraisers were…like ten-year-old Chase Langille, who brought in over $2,100, and six-year-old Dakota Yaskow, who collected over $1,600.

James Stewart, Tim Ferry and Chad Reed participated in a meet and greet with the top fundraisers, and they also read some books for the patients in the hospital, who tuned in via closed-circuit TV.

Later in the afternoon Team Kawasaki's Tim Ferry took to the partially-completed track at the Rogers Centre for the local press. There will be a full round of practice tomorrow afternoon, and we'll have more photos, so be sure to check back then. But in the meantime, you can click the following link for a gallery of images from Press Day in Toronto.
