VitalMX and DeCal Works "Bike of the Month" Contest

VitalMX and DeCal Works are excited to bring you the Bike of the Month contest!

If you're not already in the know, our new and improved Bike Check section gives you aplace to show off the machinery that you spend countless hours working on. Along with this, we have our daily editorial selections for Bike of the Day: our favorite recent Bike Check uploads that we feel are a cut above the rest.

Now DeCal Works has helped us to take the idea to another level. Each month, we will choose one of the previous Bike of the Day selections for, you guessed it, Bike of the Month.

On top of bragging rights, the lucky winner will receive a $100 gift card for DeCal Works. Whether you’re in need of some new numbers or just want to refresh the look of your steed, the DeCal Works crew will hook it up.

Want in on the goods? Here are a few helpful hints and criteria that we look for in a Bike Check:

Quality Photos: Now, we know not everyone is a professional photographer, but if you follow a few simple guidelines, just about anyone can take a decent photo. Need sometips? Take a quick look at GuyB’s article 5 Tips for Better Bike Check Photos.

Creativity: Even if your machine is completely stock, there are plenty of things you can do to gain our attention and the attention of your fellow VitalMX addicts:Choose a cool backdrop; add an interesting story; take plenty of photos (some bike check have more than 50 images…not that we’re counting. Ahem… tblazier).

Don’t forget, you can have as many Bike Checks as you want. Some users don’t know the meaning of moderation (yeah, tblazier, we’re talking about you again), so go ahead and share the details of your rides, past and present. Each bike can have it’s own Bike Check.

The first Bike of the Month will be chosen at the beginning of May. Now get crackin’ and show off that scoot!
