When will we get a notifications tab?

I have used this sit for a while now and every post i make I have to turn notifications off for it because it SPAMS my email everytime. It makes 2 emails per reply. Why can't there be a dedicated notifications tab up top or beside your name so instead of getting email notifications you can just check them here and be done.
