01 YZ250 'on the cheap'

Bought this thing for cheap. Guy was interested in another bike I was selling, ironically an 01 yz250F and mentioned two non-runners he had. Offered em both to me for $250. Of course I couldn't pass that up, so I was out there the next day.

One was a 01 YZ250, the other a 96 YZ125.



I picked the 250 to build first as it was in better shape, and ironically my timing lined up with Cam Niemela's 'bike build' contest, so I did a video for it. And then decided to just document the whole thing on YouTube. Now I'm 2 vids deep, I've got the engine out, torn down, and parts ordered, and just have to get on to the rest of the bike teardown now.

If we were competing on who had the worst luck trying to get bolts out I would win hands down

Cool man I don’t think I’ll win because I’m doing some out there crazy shit but this bike is gonna be bad ass see here’s my updated picture. I swear this thing was stuck at the bottom of the lake because these bolts are all frozen
