fired it up today (started the bike also)
needs some major jetting work, and also clean the carb would help 90% of the problem

Picked this thing up for 900.
Upon further inspection its kinda a roach.
Positives. Athena big bore kit. Uhmmm that's about it. Won't shift. Not a big deal. Was planning on cracking the cases anyways to inspect. Planning on doing the white and red look. Will or only swap front end with my 15 yamaha thats rotting away in the garage.

15 front end bolted right up. Might have to modify the steering stop

Nice, I didn't end up modifying the steering stop when I put 07 forks on my 2002 yz125. Looks like fun, and very similar to my build.

Yeah looking at it there's really no need. In a fat crash it might blow through but i doubt it

Nice build Dustin! What did you use to strip the stock pipe?

I used some real thick all purpose stripper. Found a rusty 20+ year old can in the garage. Got sick of breathing that stuff in and power washed it off. And then lit up a joint and got to work with the big wire wheel. Took about two hours. Plus about 30 min with the propane torch

Nice! I'll have to look into that. I wanted to get that factory pipe look for my 98 YZ250 since they only make the nickle plated pipes

I saw it in the back but wondered what it was. Hopefully I'll have my 05 soon and we'll have to get Friday out for a day to ride.

I'm down. Got a sand track getting worked into the piru river bottom. 1 30 lap times. It's off the road going across the river bottom on the south side of that gas station

No way? Man, I’d love to be able to ride a sand track. We use to ride the one off the 5 at magic mountain parkway until people started getting busted there
