Picked up a low hour 2005 RM250 and decided to do another build. I built a 2004 2 years ago and have regretted getting rid of it ever since. The 05 has low hours but was neglected on the maintenance and wash portions of its life. I currently have the frame, subframe and swingarm at powder coat awaiting them to come back. The motor will stay as is for now minus a few internal changes. I’ll post some pictures as what it started as, and where we sit now.

Looks like a decent platform to start with. Love my 05. Thought about selling mine but glad I didn't.

platform was decent! motor is in great shape, just needed a good cleaning. after i made the mistake of selling the 04 i built, someone will have to pry this one out of my cold dead hands.

My 05 with just a fatty pipe/power core runs better than the fully modded 01 I had. Best mod for the older 2001 to 2003 was when I stuffed a kx500 in it.
