I've been a fan of SRAM brakes, I prefer the feel of them. (Just my preference...I know a lot will disagree) I just recently swapped out my Level T's for a set of Guide R's on my Diamondback Release. They feel great now and are working awesome, but I know 2017 and older they had some issues with locking up. The ones I bought were new take-off's from a guy who switched to Shimano...I'm not sure what he took them off of or how old they are...is there a visual way to tell if they are newer then 2017 or have been fixed or do I just have to wait and see...it may never be an issue as I don't have a lot of long descents in Indiana, but a few times a year I go to places with some elevation and I don't want them shitting out on me.
