I know this might sound a little crazy but what about vapopr blasting an assembled engine? If everything is sealed up properly would there be a chance of media passing through the gasket? I was thinking about sealing up the oil seals with the shafts and everything and putting a rubber plug on the exhaust with a dummy carb on the intake side that would completely seal the intake. I have access to a blasting unit and can't come close with any process to what vapor blasting can do...

I would think not advisable due to vapor blasting using a liquid to achieve its great results...I have soda blasted complete engines after sealing them up very good, but soda is dry & can be blown out afterwards....even after sealing them up the media gets in the smallest of places...I disassembled my engine after blasting it... no way I would run it after even soda blasting it...
