edit: Then I read another reply that makes me think, no, the top one IS the modified one. If that's the case, yes, I like it for the reasons stated above. I guess it would've helped if you said which was the stock one in your original post.

I think yours are better, but the stockers still look great for a stock bike. Need to break so not QF to some people, and what did you do on the other side?
I can see why people don't like the stockers, because there are tension points in the lines – but I bet it could be fixed with scale and intersection points with the plastics...
I can also see why they did the stockers that way, it's just not an obvious consideration to most normies (non-designers), they're just looking at the angles. The stock design makes the bike look lighter/longer/sleeker than cramming them up front.
Conceptually, the angles towards the center give he impression of lower center of gravity or balance. I like the simplicity of it just always looked a little off.
