An absolute MUST listen for any moto head. Matthes and Weege breakdown one of the most wild SX seasons of all time, and even get direct interviews with guys from that season like Bradshaw and Chicken.
I was born in 1983, so I didn't start following the pro series until later in the mid 90s. I've gotten to know all the riders, their personalities and the story lines from the decades before my interest in the sport, but this podcast does an amazing job of tying it all together for anyone who didn't live through it; and is some killer blast from the past bench racing for those who did. Kudos as always to PulpMX for yet another stellar addition to the national archives of moto history!

It was an awesome season with a lot of inconsistent results and a "real" deep field. Factory teams fielded more than 1 or 2 riders, lots of hungry rookies and some vet guys plus a rider from France the fans had to learn to accept.
As pointed out in this Vital thread, 8 guys within 80 points after an 18 race season!
Imagine Bayle in practice dnf’ed three races in 90’ and still almost won the championship. He’s easily one of the most talented MX’ers inte history of the sport. He retire at the age of 23, or close to it, with two GP titles, one SX title, one 250 National title and a 500 national title. Pretty bad ass ?
