Likely true. Most kids on 80's ride KX85s or YZ85s (most of what I see, anyway), so with Kawasaki coming out with new minis, I'm sure Yamaha could put in the exhausting amount of R&D to update their 85.

Also, with how much work they've put into their 250 and 450 bikes, I can't imagine there was any time/budget room for 2-strokes.

And Honda eliminated the expansion chamber and put a cam to turn the direct injection pump and rotary valve. Bros 22000 rpm

OMG! If they do direct injection and bring back the steel frames they won't be able to make enuf for the demand. The Pros will all switch over to them for sur. Suks that the dealer is closed today for the holiday. I am going down tomorrow to see if I can pre-order !

I do not see it happening. Not while they can currently sell the shit out of what they already have and do zero R&D. but I would be all for it, and wish it to be true as much as the next guy.
