2018 KTM FE Plastics

Will the plastics from the new FE fit the 2018 bikes like they have in the past when they did updates like this? Any insights?

Nope. The way the team disguised the new bikes was by using the old fuel tank and they had to make some different tabs to fit the rear half of the bike on...and the lower part of the shrouds I think. The only thing that will bolt on that I'm aware of is the fork guards and the front fender/front number plate might.

So vice versa...you'd need the newer fuel tank and to build a bunch of custom tabs to get the new plastic on the older bike.

I am glad the 2018.5 husky race edition plastics won't fit my 2017 fc450 since the bike has gone from looking great to fugly!
