2018 SX Pit Passes

Who's been this year? Do I need to buy the pass this year or can you still get in with a Monster can? I haven't heard this year and don't want to buy the pass if I don't need to.

You can use a monster can. We did in Anaheim both events this year.

The fact that they sell the pit passes online then allow a monster can in person just seems wrong (read: I've stupidly paid for pit passes before)
