I like it, am racing will be cool to watch and I'm hopeful the 3 motos will make for more/better racing. Glad semis are gone.

Love all of it, especially the three Mains.

So what’s this triple crown thing? Just 3 races throughout the season with 3 mains each class?

Sounds good to me.

I must have missed the part where Feld is upping the purse so the riders can afford to compete and make a living.

So happy there's no chase format. I like the new scoring system since they upped the gate to 22 riders. That way 20-22 don't get identical points. Amateur racing is cool also. They need to have a chance to ride SX before they turn pro. I think that'll help injuries once they get on the bigger machines. The triple crown I'm kinda eh about. It's a cool format, but I just think that they should have that as a one off race personally. Maybe have those triple crown races be as part of a big payout and not award points or something. This would allow for a few off weekends for guys nursing an injury. I don't mind going back to no semis. I like more racing as much as the next person, but the semis are definitely the least exciting of all. With the tracks deteriorating more with timed mains, it was probably a necessary cut.

Not a fan. Different formats means more confusion, SX trying to be the Monster Cup is stupid, and as already noted, where’s the big purse increase?

Besides, they highlighted the new points system would have resulted in Eli being champ...I thought last year’s final was epic!

Unfortunately, it is not the promoters responsibility for the riders to make a living. Just like NASCAR, NFL, etc, the "talent" is paid by their sponsors and Teams, not the promoter. I do agree the privateers need to make more though and even some of the higher level riders who ride for "free". The short answer is Feld and MX Sports working with the Teams to bring more corporate sponsorship to the sport in general. I feel the sport does a poor job in attracting more mainstream fans/support Example: Musquin just won $1,000,000 and I didn't see a word about it in mainstream media.

How can we become more mainstream and grow the sport will bring the $, not asking the promoters to pay more assuming they have unlimited budgets.

I was hoping for points paid in heat races so the riders in 6th would be motivated to move forward. Other than that, I think it's GREAT!

I'm really stoked on the 3 triple crown races. If a rider gets a bad start one race it's not the end of the night and follow the leader. How many times have we been so bored with Dungey getting a good start and the race being follow the leader? This gives other riders who had a bad start a chance a redemption and it makes more of the night meaningful. So many people just watch the heat races and skip right to the mains when they watch. This new format draws in peoples attention to every gatedrop. If Eli goes mental on one gatedrop he's got another shot to slap himself and get back in it.

I don't know about you guys but I think this change will definitely help the sport by making the whole night meaningful. No more telling your friends how this race doesn't matter because it's just qualifying. Sure the points payout may be confusing but there are a ton of people who can more easily catch on to each race being important rather than going through heats and semis and then LCQ's.

Well, we can say with some assurance that we won't be watching any Dungey runaways this year... Wink

I must be the only guy in here that likes the semis? Ducks that they are going away, especially for the mid level teams. A 9-10 guy in the main is a potential race winner in the semis. Only chance to get tv time for for a lot of this teams.

I wonder what the logic is behind having different length mains on the Triple crown races?

That's the biggest bummer of it all, semi races made for super intense heat races.

Otherwise, it's nice to see them making changes. Thumbs up on the new points format.

I hated when they eliminated semis the last time and I don't like it anymore now but whatever. BUT, if you're going to mess with the point system why not increase the benefit of a win instead of decreasing it. I don't get making 2nd and third closer to 1st? Go 27/23/21, tightening it makes Dungey consistency more important, not less.

I love how they say no Semi races make it easier for casual fans to follow but 3 times a year there will be 3 main events of different lengths and they will follow that just fine right ?

I have to say between the cost and the TV coverage , wasting my time at the stadium is not a priority.

Change are whatever...doesn't make much difference to me.

The sand supercross is going to be lame...sand sections are so ungodly boring!!!

I missed it.
Do the 8min, 12min, and 15min mains all pay full points?

1. OK, ease into it
2. Would rather see more
3. Would rather see a winner's semi. Prefer sudden death over LCQ
4. Would like more than 3, the length seems good to keep interest
5. Would have gone 1 point difference for 1,2,3 to keep the points closer
6. Baby step
7. FANtastic
8. Good

9. Good. Big sand rhythm sections.

Server is melting down.

So if the new format is only paying night show riders they just put an end to privateers. Hope that's not the case.

Feld clearly doesnt understand the acronym KISS. I like the changes and i understand testing the waters but to a non moto guy it got even more confusing.

I assume the am races will be day after like daytona and non telivised as the are gonna "tame down the track"

I was looking at the TV schedule and was wondering why some of the East coast rounds are being broadcast at 10pm?

Anyone know if that's just a mistake? I don't see why they should air that late unless they're delayed for whatever reason.

Atlanta SX March 3rd at 10pm EST

Minneapolis SX April 14th at 10pm EST
