By over 2 hours I read? Not an especially strong Class 22 this year.

Maybe I browse the wrong media outlets, but why does no body cover this? Has it lost its appeal? You'd think vital would at least post something about the top teams and the race prior to the event.

I’d received a text from a friend...
They’d pulled up the 2018 results 😂
I was at the track testing mufflers and engine hangers.
So, if I’m “drunk”...? I’m “lapped out drunk”.

There's a lot of reasons the 1000 isn't mainstream popular anymore IMO. Yes, desert racing is obviously a regional sport. However, years ago; it got mainstream coverage, and OEM's were actively involved. Not just Motorcycles, but automotive OEM's as well. I would love to see Class 3 and Class 7 make a comeback to where there's factory support. Would like to see that in the M/C and SxS classes as well. More OEM support would grow desert racing back into semi-mainstream status again I think.

Can't believe the 5X rebuilding their top end in the middle of nowhere, just to finish. That's heart.

Also congrats to David and the Kamo family. Such an epic return

I did a Baja ride with Chris Haines tour group last December. Shane rode sweep for us.....he gave us a "demonstration" through some 3 ft whoops on a basically stock 2006 CRF 450X. HOLY SHIT!!!

We sat around at night and he would share stories with us, very down to earth and relatable.
