Didnt the PR’s say something to the effect of “now lightest in class”? I think it’ll be right at the KTM 223 mark

All I know is it’s a brand new model and I never buy the 1st year of a brand new anything.

Light, on SX Championships

How is it lighter on outdoor championships? RC won an outdoor title on the CRF450 back in 2004.

The CRF450 has 0 SX championship since it was introduced to the market.

I misread. I just meant that HONDA was lighter on outdoor championships than SX championships. I forgot we were talking about the 450 itself.

I expect it to be 223-224. Honda isnt messing around anymore. If they finally ditched the dual exhaust they know whats up.

That would be impressive If that would be the case on the weight range you’re saying.
In its 19th yr. of existence that would be about 3-4 lbs. heavier than their last 02-07 3rd gen AF 250 2t’s produced.
I thought the 20 model WE purchased would be my last 450, but reconsidering a 22 model if this 21 is as good as the hype on it thus far. Time will tell..

dont forget it has spring forks. KTM saves 3 to 4 lbs with the air fork. So if the new Honda comes in a couple lbs's under 230 will be a huge win. You cant expect it to weigh the same as KTM, cant happen so get over it now.

Ooops
Left out the SX part

Haa!
Still, it's been a long time since they've won a big bike championship.

I think it will still be a heavy pig. Maybe 3 to 5 pounds lighter than the current model. Same forks and shocks. Simular construction frame. Simular engine. Same clamps, wheels, tires, etc.

Nah, I just dont like trolls, this thread is about what the potential weight on the bike is, not its history ...hopefully that is clear enough for you to understand
