hey guys so buying my first new bike, trying to scoop a 21 crf 250r, first dealer where i have deposit is trying to hit me for 9k out the door, but who knows really by the time i get into finance office, the other one for 8800 after all said and done. my buddy has one being shipped in and claims hes out door 100% for 8200, idk how when the bikes msrp is 8k. Is it me or these prices a little crazy like I know covid messed everything up so im not getting a deal like i used to be able to, should I take the 8800 or look elsewhere? Thanks

Look for a new 2020 instead, much better price and the same bike, or are they completely sold out?

I'm currently looking for the same bike. Winter is right around the corner. I plan on waiting until spring. Prices will come back down.

Honestly going to have to look around. Some places are not going go budge on their prices because sales have boomed in the last 8 months. Went to go look at a 2020 yz250f. They wanted 10K for that bike OTD. I laughed and left. Good luck finding a dealer! Perhaps get the 20?

I posted in another thread that a local dealer (North End Cycle in Elkhart) is charging $8900 for a 2019 CRF250. It's ridiculous.

The first dealer I went to basically raised the price on me , first they told me 9, then they called back and said they beat up there manager and got $500 off, And with my deposit ($500) id only be financing 8500. If the bike was 9 and i gave u 500, and u got 500 off supposedly, wouldnt i be at 8k? Lmao, such a joke i told him to f off. Im out the door somehwere else for 8400, without my deposit. Stoked hope deal goes through

There is going to be a new Honda 250 in 2022, so you'll have a harder time selling a 21 when that time comes.

I would wait until then if you can, or maybe get the new Yamaha.

Tri county in wv has a 2020 CRF450 for 7999 out the door. And a 21 250r for the same price.

Shop around more. I just paid $8k for mine OTD in Oklahoma. I was quoted $8600 at another shop, they kept trying to push me into putting a deposit on it because they were only getting 1 for September and the rest in December. Gave me the ole “act now cuz I’ve got 3 other people ready to jump on it!”. They texted me 2 days after I said no thanks and asked if I was still interested. Lol
